Course description
The aim of the course is for participants to acquire basic knowledge of building web pages without any prior programming experience. Emphasis is placed on understanding how the Internet works and the role of the client side. Participants learn how to create structured web documents using HTML and to apply styling with CSS for visual design. In addition, they are introduced to the fundamentals of programming. The content covers HTML elements, forms, tables and the semantic structure of web pages. CSS concepts such as selectors, the box model and the basics of responsive design are addressed. Finally, students will be able to write simple programs using variables, conditions, loops and functions.
Weekly class hours: 2 hours of lectures and 3 hours of practical exercises.
